Mac.  Based upon the arcade game Galaga, Solarian II has what it takes to keep your attention for more than a few minutes.  The sounds and graphics are first-rate, and the variety of play are what make this game a winner.  It is amazing that even though the last release of this game was in 1990, before 68040 coprocessors where around, this game runs perfectly on my machine.  If you're familiar with Lunatic Fringe (from More After Dark), Solarian II is written by the same person.  I guess my final comment is that the game is hard enough that I have never been able to go beyond level 7.  I keep on wanting more, and that is what a great game does to you.  If you want one of the best then check out Solarian II.
